BIO
Keith Snipes is a Baltimore based multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges music, spoken word, and theater to explore themes of humanity, justice, and connection. His writing reflects a commitment to giving voice to the overlooked.
Snipes creates work that is both intimate and socially resonant. His performances are known for their emotional depth and clarity, often combining minimalist staging with powerful language to engage audiences in reflection and dialogue.
His new released, “The Least of These” exemplifies his approach, merging poetic lyricism with a call toward compassion and accountability. Beyond music, Snipes continues to develop original poetry and stage works that center the Black experience, memory, and resilience.
As an actor and vocalist, Snipes has performed with world class symphonies, theater companies and musicians. He easily moves between the great works of William Shakespeare and August Wilson, as well as, librettos and spoken word pieces.
Through every medium, Keith Snipes seeks not only to tell stories, but to create moments that move, challenge and connect people across shared human experience.
Press / Reviews
““Snipes’ roots are in theatre and his singing reflects that. He always presents his songs in dramatic form, as an actor delivers a monologue. He has a resonate voice that conveys powerful emotions ranging from love to outrage. And his lyrics tend to convey ideas of freedom and hope for a just world. Songs are his way of making the world a better place. As I said in a previous profile of him, “music is his ministry.””
